Purpose
This document provides an overview of Netwatch's operations, capabilities, and recent developments. It is intended for authorized personnel only.

All Netwatch Agents should already be familiar with the DataKrash, and Rache Bartmoss.
Considered the most brilliant hacker in the NET, Bartmoss was a rogue netrunner who went out of his way to harass and undermine the corporations, which he viewed as the ultimate oppressors of humanity. As a result, he lived most of his life on the run with corporate bounties on his head, and resorted to hiding in a disguised cryogenic freezer with life support tech and Net access that he spent his final days in. Bartmoss created and planted the R.A.B.I.D.S. virus in the NET in September 2014 during the release of the Ihara-Grubb Transformation Algorithms as a grand act of defiance against corporate control to be triggered in the event of his death. It was designed to breach all corporate datafortresses and unleash their data onto the Net for all to access, but it ended up having a very different effect.
When the virus was released, it infected 78.2% of the Net in a matter of months. Net traffic came to a grinding halt, corporations lost billions as the stock market destabilized, huge amounts of data were corrupted, and countless military-grade artificial intelligences were unshackled and mutated into extremely dangerous entities. NetWatch, unable to reverse the damage or neutralize the AIs, decided to create the Blackwall, a potent AI with the sole task of blocking off sections of the Net that had been overrun by rogue AIs with ICE, so that the rest of the Net could be salvaged. Rumors emerged that NetWatch was only able to construct the Blackwall with the help of the rogue AIs, who desired to separate themselves from human observation for their own opaque reasons.
In the DataKrash's immediate aftermath, the Net was almost unusable. To maintain operations in the short term, many corporations and governments revived the use of 20th century punch card technology for data entry and security purposes.
Department 6 / Section 9 / Custodiat
A special operational group of Netwatch, A high degree of autonomy. Operations are not recorded in Netwatch databases. Department 6 reports only to the section Chief and is comprised of two person operation units, each of which can call in a six person support team if needed. They investigate Activity suspected of being related to Rogue AI.

Ines is a Field Commander, and Net Intrusion Specialist.
Joined Netwatch when her Ghost was trapped during an intrusion attempt, Beneficiary of a Company Full Body Conversion, chose an off-the-rack Gemini used for high-end Dolls. Further upgrades since that point have required changes to different bodies,m but always with the Gemini conversion kit to restore this basic look. Ines works best when given a lot of latitude to fulfill operation requirements, and minimal oversight is recommended.
Head of Department 6’s Sixth Team, her subordinates seem more loyal to her than to Netwatch overall, and a cult of personality might be a concern.
Ines has no memory of her childhood or life before joining Netwatch, as those memories have been moved to external storage which is kept in a secure Netwatch Vault. The freed up space has been filled with stored knowledge from Netwatch Ghost Archive Banks, making her capable of handling almost any mission.
Ines has a critical flaw, and that is her continual over-confidence in her physical capabilities, which has caused her to damage her own body attempting feats of strength beyond her frame’s limits. Therapists do not seem to be able to isolate this problem.
When not working her Netwatch duties, she earns extra eb as a sex worker.
Hobbies: Sky-Diving, dance, watches pornography,,despite Full Body Conversion still drinks and eats habitually.
No current signs of Netrunning deviation, no signs of cyberpsychosis.

Records unavailable, Left Marshals service in 2026, hired on a Nomad pack as part of their security detail, took advantage of educational opportunities to gain a Bachelor’s in Philosophy. Assigned to Chicago Regional office in a junior role, Reprimanded for excessive force used against a suspect.
Transferred to London in 2031, served un-spectacularly even unremarkably. Notation placed in file after the Cyber Zombie incident. Transferred to Department 6 in 2036.
LeBeau’t’s personality profile show signs of Netrunner deviation, long term netrunning exposure and post traumatic stress. No indications of Cyberpsychosis at present. Mister Anderson was a talented Netrunner working for Data Inc, poached by Magnificent Curtis for Netwatch, brilliant and adaptable, he adopted a Wiseman FBC with a Gemini Conversion in his late 40s. It is prior to his arrival in Night City’s Headquarters we believe he was replaced by an entity we know only as Killer, Since the arrival happened slightly after the death of Killer Yoshikage. Mr. Anderson began affecting white suits, and a white touch to his hair. It is also after he took over the Night City Branch that irregularities from that branch came to our attention. It is for that reason we are no longer certain of his statistical breakdown.
